Wayne Sutton - my new fav meme
I have always wanted to be an Internet meme but I don't know how to do it. The closest I've been was when I did a "spin-off" of Chris Crocker's "Leave Britney alone" vid. My version was mentioned in media a couple of times, but that was basically it. Looking at the more famous memes out there, I have to say that everything could be a meme - it only needs alot of attention.
Boxxy, the cute Gaia Online girl, is famous for her energetic vids and cute appearance. Chirs Crocker for his honest video blog. So, what does it really take to become a new Internet meme? Luck, charm and a bit of wickedness.
I have posted this video before and Wayne unboxing his newly arrived Google business cards has been running frequently on my computer for the last 20 hours or so. I even have it downloaded in my phone to watch whenever I need some cheering up. Wayne's video simply makes me smile and gets me in a better mood. Why? Well, apart from the silent humour, irony and a bit of sarcasm, I just love Wayne's facial expressions. He reminds me of children opening gifts on X-mas eve...
So, Wayne, pardon me Sir, but you have touched me with your little vid. Know this, that someone is watching it over and over again and each time he watches it, he becomes a better person. Perhaps not what you had in mind when shooting it, but see it as a bonus. I hope you don't mind me blogging about you all the time... Thanks for making my day over and over again! :)
In China they pay by the hour
Its actually a much better way to pay by the hour. The Chinese pay the equivalent of 6 cents an hour to play.
Reading on a forum that MMOs are in China payed by the hour instead of monthly. Don't know whether that applies to everyone though. 6 cents an hour for a casual player must be a much better deal than the monthly $15.

The preople behind the Swedish file sharing website The Pirate Bay could face charges in Italy as a Bergamo prosecutor continues a legal investigation.
Italian prosecutor Giancarlo Mancusis is conducting a legal investigation into the four men behind The Pirate Bay - Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij and Carl Lundström, Swedish business daily Dagens Industri (DI) reports.
- New law sees Swedish web traffic plunge (30 Apr 09)
- Second ISP undermines file sharing law (28 Apr 09)
- Lundström demands Pirate Bay retrial (25 Apr 09)
The investigation is the first of its kind against The Pirate Bay outside of Sweden's borders.
Simona Lavagnini, a lawyer representing the Italian recording industry organisation Fimi, told DI that the recent convictions of The Pirate Bay founders by the Stockholm court has strengthened their resolve.
"We see the chances of a trial in Italy reaching the same result as good," Lavagnini told DI.
The charges under investigation are the same as those in the Stockholm court trial - accessory to copyright infringement. A conviction could lead to imprisonment of between six months and three years as well as significant fines.
The Pirate Bay has employed two IT lawyers based in Sardinia to represent their interests, DI writes.
"The case will almost definitely reach court. But I do not understand how the prosecutor can prove "accessory" to crime. Nor do I understand how this can come under Italian criminal law," one of the lawyers, Giovanni Gallus, said to DI.
The Pirate Bay has never located any servers in Italy nor used the country as a base for its activities. They have 450,000 contacts in Italy, around 2.3 percent of the total visitors to their site.
In August 2008 Fimi sued The Pirate Bay and an Italian judge ruled that the site should be blocked in Italy. The ruling was appealed and the case will be heard by the Italian supreme court in September.
