The first AIR app for Spotify is a DJ app - AWSOMENESS!

Spotify DJ is the name of this new little app that claims "Live from your place". It sounds good indeed and it is easy to be over-excited about it and by all means, you should.  After all, Spotify could work as a DJ tool for smaller parties and clubs with the impressive sound quality, if you are a premium user that is (320kb/s). By installing a little AIR app to your computer the app "scrobbles" to your personal DJ page (and also Last.fm) and the tracks you are listening to are updated real-time as Spotify track links. There is a little delay between tracks played and track listing on your DJ page being updated, but it's not that a big deal (delay is about 45 seconds when I checked).

Spotify DJ is a Blip.fm service for Spotify and concidering how fast Blip.fm has grown lately, this might be a real hit. But it needs some improvements. The Twitter integration doesn't seem to work properly and both the AIR app and the DJ page is terribly ugly. My guess is however that the developer has more tweaks and things in mind and I will follow the development closely. One of the best things about Spotify DJ which basically makes this a winner, is that the listeners don't have to do anything but visit a DJ page and click "Listen to DJ" - the tracks are automatically changed as they update on the DJ page! Now, is this cool or what? Go on and listen to me while I spin my turntables HERE

What would make this little app ever better would be
- embedded playlist player on other sites
- stored/saved sessions (?)
- possibility to integrate mic
- better layout on DJ page with and personalization possibilities
- function to save various sessions in groups by tags, genre, dates etc.

My guess is that these will come in time. I hope.

I mean, compare Blip.fm with Spotify DJ - if it is sound quality and number of songs to choose from, Spotify DJ is the way to go.

PhotoFinder on Facebook auto tags your photos

This is a little neat app in many ways. It simply auto tags yours and your friends' photos. And...nothing else. It's in Alpha stage and quite impressive as a recognition tool so far. However, tagging seems not to be a Facebook tag, but only an "app tag". I like it though and  I think this app has lot of potential.

How hard can it be??!!

Bullshit or Awsome?

Found a new toy today. A service that let's you create polls/voting thingies depending on if you like it or not. For instance: http://jazzjeppe.isfreakingawesome.com/ - click link and put your vote! Or if you rather wish: http://susan-boyle.istotalbullshit.com/

Fun and...totally pointless.
