The Heart Calculator - What will your heart do today?

MyFitnessPal.com
blub blub
  • Today, your heart will pump around 2,229 gallons (8,426 liters) of blood

  • In your lifetime, your heart will pump 1.2 million barrels of blood

(that's the equivalent of 3 supertankers)

  • Your body contains about 5 gallons (17 liters) of blood

  • This blood circulates through your body 3 times a minute

  • Your blood travels around 24,371 miles a day (39,213 km)

(roughly halfway around the circumference of the earth)

  • If you make a fist with your hand, your heart is about this size

(A whale's heart is roughly 400 times this size)

  • Your entire cardiovascular system, if laid from end to end, is over 91,392 miles (147,050 km) long

(that's long enough to wrap around the world more than twice)

  • Your heart beats approximately 151,993 times a day

(by the time you die, your heart will have beat more than 2.5 billion times)

When will Sweden jump on the location-based trend?

I am doing what I can to stay on top of the Leaderboard for Stockholm in Foursquare. And I am reading about how this location-based companies are starting to bringing more content and functionality to mobile phones in the US. And I am jealous. Restaurant and clubs having deals for 4SQ mayors, get the latest deals and bargains to your mobile phone depending on where you are. It is so easy and yet so clever. It is cheap marketing that could generate loads of business if you do it right. I would love to see all this here in Stockholm. Just saying.

Gravity - the new Friendfeed?

What is Gravity?

Gravity connects people with shared interests and helps them engage in meaningful and fun conversations. While social networks are great for connecting you with people you already know, Gravity connects you with people you should know and should be talking to because they share your passions.

How does Gravity work?

Gravity makes it easy to nurture your interests by enabling group conversations around topics. Gravity is made up of thousands of Worlds, which are user-created topic pages for group discussion and sharing. Users can easily discover new Worlds and keep track of them, as well as any people or conversations that interest them, by clicking the Orbit button. Gravity gives every user a voice and makes it easy for anyone to share relevant thoughts, opinions and experiences.

Watch TV Online - without country restrictions!

Gotta love it! Finally I can watch almost the same shows that are on Hulu without having to set up stupid VPNs and proxys. How about the latest Simpson and Family Guy episodes right in your browser? Yes please! And it works! Wohoooo!

Boylan's Suger Cane Cola

I found two different Boylan's colas today in Norrtälje. I bought a bottle of the Suger Cane Cola and by gawd, that was the best cola I have ever had! I know I am not supposed to drink sweet sodas while dieting, but I just had to try one and I don't regret it. I need more.

A message from One.com - my FORMER webhost

Operational information - One.com

In recent weeks we have unfortunately had the instability of our network, this culminated in the days around Sunday, January 31st. This has led many clients in shorter periods did not have access to their website and e-mail.

It is important to note that no data or e-mail will be lost because of these problems.

One.com has previously only used the HP as server supplier, but from the summer of 2009 we entered into an agreement with IBM for the delivery of blade servers. We have recently taken some of these new servers in operation.

The new type of server has unfortunately given us some operational problems. For many of our customers have problems caused short periods of downtime for web sites, and a delay in the delivery of e-mail.

Technologies from IBM working for the moment with our own technologies to solve problems.

The detailed technical explanation is that there was an error in the switch module into the chassis from IBM blade servers are sitting in. There is talk of an entirely new type of swtich from Blade Network Technologies. Periodically recorded a strong network noise from the switch modules. Noise disturbs the operation and spread in short spells problems for large parts of our network, which may cause the entire network becomes inaccessible.

The solution that we currently are implementing a total exchange of all the hardware that shows the slightest sign of Instability. We expect that most of the hardware will be replaced before the end of this week.

We regret the inconvenience this has caused, and we hope our customers understand that we do everything in our power to restore stability to our servers.

Sincerely,
One.com

Pfffft...One.com is the worst host I have ever come across. 900 minutes downtime in 15 days...
